What’s happening at Cwm Arian's Eisteddfod stand?

Find us at Stand 921, near the Science and Technology Village and opposite Lolfa Goffi.

Our team will be there every day from 9am–5.30pm, with special guests, creative workshops and activities throughout the week.

Come and say shwmae, try something new, and help us imagine a more sustainable future for our communities.

📅 Saturday 1 August – Energy Day

Energy advice team: 10.30am–3.30pm

Discover simple ways to save energy, make your home warmer and explore our smart fixes and retrofit services. Jump on our energy bike and see how much power you can generate!

📅 Sunday 2 August – Land Day

Bracken Fuel team: 10.30am–3.30pm

Discover how bracken can be transformed into a sustainable local fuel while supporting the management of our precious heathlands. Twymo briquettes will be available to buy throughout the week.

Monday 3 August – Energy Day

📅 Energy advice team: 10.30am–3.30pm

Bring your home-energy questions and speak directly with our friendly advisers about saving money, staying warm and accessing retrofit support. Don’t forget to try the energy bike!

Our Outreach and Engagement Coordinator, Sophie Jenkins, will be speaking on the Lloeren Stage in the Science and Technology Area. Join her to hear about Nyfer am Byth and the community-led work to create a more sustainable future for the Afon Nyfer and its catchment.

📅 Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 August – Community Days

SPAN Arts and Y Stiwdio workshops: 10am–12pm and 2pm–4pm

Get creative with Celfyddydau SPAN Arts and Y Stiwdio! Transform recycled materials and colourful fabric remnants into banners, bunting, cards, crowns and wreaths.

Each session will also feature Welsh-language songs about the environment, with live violin and percussion instruments for everyone to play and sing along with.

📅 Thursday 6 August – Energy Day

Meet Community Energy Wales and explore how local people can generate, own and benefit from renewable energy. Whether you have the beginnings of an idea or are already working on a project, drop in for practical information, inspiration and advice.

📅 Friday 7 August – Land Day

Discover our work with woodlands, rivers and the wider landscape, and find out how you can get involved through volunteering. You can also drop in and make your own willow festival wand!

📅 Saturday 8 August – Community and Land Day

Celebrate the people, language and landscapes at the heart of our work. Meet the team, discover our community and land-based projects, and join Race Council Cymru’s Pawb yn Perthyn project to help create a special piece of collaborative bunting.

Drop in and talk to Sophie, our Outreach and Engagement Coordinator, about our work to improve Welsh-language engagement and the deep, intangible connections between language, landscape and belonging. If you’re lucky, she may even share a local myth or legend that roots us to place.
