Hedgelaying course

Interested in learning traditional hedgelaying?
This 4-day course is a practical introduction to laying a hedge properly, using hand tools and time-tested techniques. You’ll be working outdoors, learning how to cut, lay and bind a hedge so it’s stock-proof and good for wildlife.
It’s suitable for beginners, with all tools and safety gear provided. Expect a few solid days of physical work, learning by doing, and plenty of time outside.

Willow workshop
Date: February 14
Cost: £20
This one-day workshop provides a structured introduction to willow as a managed woodland crop, covering how it is grown, established, maintained and used.
The session combines theory with practical outdoor work, focusing on traditional coppicing systems and their modern applications.
The practical element includes hands-on coppicing of established willow plots on site. Participants will also take home their own willow cuttings.
