

Pembrokeshire Smarter Energy Support Service
P-SESS started in April 2021 and provides a home energy advice service to the residents of Pembrokeshire and nearby towns & villages in adjacent counties. It has successfully received repeated funding from Smart Energy GB, Big Energy Savings Network & National Grid.

The team offer advice & support to households to:

Understand energy bills, tariffs & the most economic methods to pay energy bills

Provide tailored energy saving advice & tips depending on a consumer’s available budget.

Provide advice on making the best use of existing heating controls.

Offer information about low carbon solutions for updating & retrofits projects.

Explain the benefits of smart meters.

Explain & promote ‘help & supports schemes’ provided by national & local government.

Promote the Priority Service Register – P-SESS are referral partners of National Grid

Refer households to the NEST Scheme – the Welsh Government Warm Homes funded project.

Offer remote assistance by providing a ‘Telephone Help Line’.

Keep them informed of useful home energy information via social media and press articles
Free training in thermal imaging-surveying for you and your local community!
P-SESS are offering free training and use of equipment for people to carry out thermal imaging surveys for their immediate community.
By appointment, the team also can complete thermal image surveys of homes to help highlight some low-cost solutions to save energy & lower fuel bills.
Invite PSESS to your next event!
The PSESS team are available to attend public events such as fairs, community meals and gatherings to offer their services and advice. They come along with a gazebo and set up an information area for people to come and pick their brains with all of their energy support queries!
In the past year the team have attended local motor shows, coffee mornings, community meals, county shows, and family days.
