On Good Friday, Michael and Anna from the Cwm Arian team travelled to Clynfyw Care Farm for a day of Easter festivities. Despite the blustery weather, the event was full of energy, with plenty of opportunities to connect with families and visitors from across the community.
Throughout the day, the team enjoyed sharing updates on recent Cwm Arian projects, including the briquette initiative based at the Clynfyw site. This innovative project transforms locally sourced bracken and sawmill offcuts into sustainable, burnable briquettes, which are then distributed through food banks in Milford Haven and Cardigan.
They were also pleased to offer practical energy advice to those looking to make their homes more efficient, as well as demonstrate some of their more creative projects, including a pedal-powered radio bike and a wind turbine constructed from a car jack and recycled plastic packaging.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable day, with good food, engaging conversations, and a strong sense of community throughout. The team would like to extend their sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to making the event such a success, and in particular to Jim Bowen for his dedication and hard work in organising the day.
Fingers crossed, we look forward to returning next year!
