We’re excited to share some fantastic news — Cwm Arian has secured £82,488 in funding through Ynni Cymru, a Welsh Government programme that supports the development of community energy projects.
This funding is already making a real difference. We’re working closely with Maenclochog Hall Committee, St Dogmaels Memorial Hall Committee, and Cardigan Squash Club to install solar panels, hot water heat pumps, and EV chargers. These improvements will reduce energy costs, cut carbon emissions, and help make community spaces more sustainable.
“We're really grateful and pleased with the support given to us by Cwm Arian, which has resulted in gaining a significant grant to install solar panels along with large battery capacity. This will help reduce our energy costs, allowing us to keep our hire fees low for the benefit of the wonderful and varied groups we have in St Dogmaels.”— Jacqui Kinsay, Committee Member, St Dogmaels Memorial Hall
If your community building could benefit from energy improvements, find out how we can help. From grants and guidance to installing renewable energy and EV infrastructure, Cwm Arian is here to support local communities to save energy, save money, and make a difference.
