Feeding Our Community Project Officer
Louise manages CARE's Feeding Our Community project - working with community spaces in Carmarthenshire to create designs for their green spaces. The project aims to teach, motivate, and inspire our Camarthenshire community to grow, store and prepare organic produce.
Louise has worked within the charitable, environmental, and horticultural sectors for over fifteen years, specialising in local food production and land-based training. Louise holds a master’s degree in Product Design, with additional qualifications in permaculture and biodynamic land management. Having set up and managed a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) vegetable box scheme, she now lives with her partner on a smallholding in Carmarthenshire, aspiring to self-reliance.
Louise is a freelance horticultural trainer and facilitator. Louise collaborates with various community groups and organisations, delivering courses in organic horticulture, land management, biodynamic gardening, as well as helping groups solve design challenges.
