Holly Cross

Holly came back to Wales to study at Swansea University, having been born in Carmarthen but brought up in Somerset. After completing her degrees, she worked for community projects in Swansea and Cardiff, did some travelling and volunteering in Europe, then came back to spend a year working in Cardiff University. Before finally settling in Pembrokeshire, she went off to visit a friend in Australia… and somehow ended up living in Ukraine and teaching English!
But... now she’s back on the family smallholding in Llwyndrain. Holly sings with local choir One Voice, is involved with Celtic Blue Rock Festival and is finally learning to speak Cymraeg! After a year working for CAT in Machynlleth and helping her Dad with his local gardening business, she is now a Project Officer with Cwm Arian Renewable Energy.

Aled was born and raised in the Cardigan area, and is now living in the village of Boncath. After completing a degree in Physics at Cardiff University, he retuned to the area to work with Cardigan based rainwater harvesting specialists, 3P Technik UK. During his time at 3P Technik he helped start up Celtic Sustainables – supplying breathable paints and natural insulation materials in the local area and throughout the country.
Aled is a Renewable Energy Project Officer with Cwm Arian Renewable Energy, focussing on the development of the Hermon Community Resource Centre and Community Engagement Events.
Nick Ward

Nick moved to the area in 1979, got married, and was then a home maker looking after their two boys.
Nick’s working background is as a playground installer and manager. He has recently dealt with the local planning and regulation dept to obtain permission for community housing, and has been involved in local community projects, including Blue Rock Festival. Nick is now one of the CARE project officers, chiefly for the Hermon community resource centre.
Cara Wilson

Cara was raised in Narberth and after a spell of teaching, began working in the charity and community sector on environmental projects 15 years ago in Europe. Anything from strawbale building and gardening training projects with Romanian orphanages to pedestrian-friendly street parties in Lyon, France.
In 2000 Cara found work to return to Wales - at The Alternative Technology Centre and back home in Pembrokeshire for Planed, Pembrokeshire Energy Agency, WEst Wales Eco Centre and the Wildlife Trust at the Welsh Wildlife Centre. Spare time is focussed at home in Brynberian with her bilingual family - attempting to get the kids excited about nature, chopping logs, growing their own food, trees and bees!

Bill Davies - Founder of the Blue Rock Festival and Cwm Arian’s vice-chairmanman.
